We’ve been researching this little project for over forty years between the two of us (Going for a pint is what we now officially refer to as research), so when it comes to taste and flavour, we reckon we’ve got some decent experience to draw upon.

Our first big step however, was the acquisition of a rather Heath Robinson home-brew kit which we set up in a domestic kitchen in January 2008. To our surprise and delight, the resulting beer (our proto-type Blonde ale), turned out pretty damn good. And that was the start of what has been one hell of a brewing rollercoaster ride, which was all documented closely in a Channel 4 TV series "Neil's Risky Business".

After a good deal of sweat, tears, the occasional tantrum – and a little help from our friends, we wound up with our very own micro-brewery. Essentially this was the Morrissey Fox beer lab, where we donned white coats and made like mad beer professors. The finished article was then rolled into the cellar at a village pub where the locals gave it a yay, or a nay. With the thumbs up, the top secret recipe went off to our brewing partners, who have the brewing kit to satisfy the thirst of the nation. There’s plenty more to come….
